The first steps toward organizing a Cemetery Association in the town of Belgrade Nicollet County, State of Minnesota.
We the subscribers agree to become members of an association for the establishment of a public cemetery according to the laws of the State of Minnesota for such cases made and provided, on lands offered for sale for that purpose by Mr. Goodrich.
We further agree to take each a lot in said cemetery and pay therefor the price that may be fixed by the first meeting of said association, provided it does not exceed the sum of Five Dollars each, and provided further, that the pay for such lot may be made in installments, as fast as required to pay for the land, and for surveying, and such incidental expenses as may be necessary to perfect the organization of said association.
The understanding is the fencing is to be delayed till the Spring of 1868. We further agree to meet for the purpose of organizing such an association at the School House in District No. 8 on the First Saturday of August and at 6 o'clock P.M.

Proceedings of a meeting to organize a Public Cemetery Association. Held at the School House in District 8, town of Belgrade on Saturday, August 3rd 1867 at 6:00 p.m.
David Steel was elected Chairman and D.K.F. Trask as Secretary. Voted to adopt the name of Oak Grove Cemetery Association. Voted to have three Trusties to manage the affairs of the association. On voting by ballot David Steel, D.K.F. Trask and Walter R. Johnson were found to be elected said Trustees.
Voted that the Annual Election for Trustees of the Association be held on the First Saturday of April, 1868 at 6:00 p.m. according to the statutes for such cases made and provided, the Chairman and Secretary proceeded to draw by lot for the number of years each Trustee should serve where from D.K.F Trask was drawn for one year, D. Steel for two years, Walter R. Johnson for three years.
The names of the Associated who attended the above meeting were David Steel, George W. Fletcher, Jonas Burrill, L. P. Parsons, Henry S. Trask and D.K.F. Trask.
